Research, publication & public education: To organize a series of public lectures, panel discussions and conferences and generate educational material in conjunction with local publishers and educational institutions. A major initiative will be printing an edited version of the Abolition Act, secured from the House of Lords, and using cartoons and documentaries to educate young children about the abolition story.
Sports & Culture: To stage a football festival around the island, with West African football stars being involved & work through the Ministry of Tourism, Entertainment

Concerts: To stage concerts in town squares and emancipation parks around the world with involvement of Jamaican talent.

Movements, exhibitions and honouring: We propose to erect 4 monuments at the major African arrival points in Jamaica (PortLand, Savann-La-Mar, Falmouth and Kingston). We will also mount a major exhibition on the trade. In collaboration with the Jamaica National Heritage Trust, Freedom Monuments will be erected on the which names of those who fought to end the slave trade and slavery will be inscribed

Establishing and Re-establishing the diasporan links: one sub-committe is devoted to seeking alliances with overseas missions and ensuring that jamaican aborad are involved in the commemorative activites.
